Wright State outlasts Cleveland State in double OT

Grant Benzinger scored six of his 26 points in the second overtime as Wright State survived against last-place Cleveland State with a 74-68 road win Saturday at the Wolstein Center.

Benzinger carried the WSU offense while leading scorer Mark Alstork spent more than 17 minutes on the bench after picking up a first-half technical.

Benzinger, who shared team-high rebounding honors with 10, made all four his 3-pointers in the second half as Wright State (19-9 overall, 10-5 Horizon League) rallied from a 12-point deficit for its fourth consecutive win and eighth in the last 10.

CSU fell to 8-20, 4-12.

Steven Davis added 17 points for the Raiders, while Justin Mitchell had nine points and 10 rebounds.

WSU returns to action Tuesday night at NKU.
