AAA opened its first newly built Car Care, Insurance and Travel Center in Huber Heights on Sept. 28. The new facility at 8381 Old Troy Pike offers customers convenient, one-stop shopping for all of their automotive, insurance and travel needs.

“For more than 100 years AAA has been providing world-class roadside assistance to stranded motorists,” said Tom Wiedemann, president and chief operating officer, AAA Allied Group. “We are excited to now offer car care along with our traditional insurance and travel services under one roof to our valued customers in the Miami Valley area.”

The new location will house a special charging station to provide a free, convenient place for drivers to power up their electric vehicles 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There is also a free air station at the facility offering motorists the chance to inflate their tires. Officials stress that the focus on car care is an important element in AAA’s mission to improve traffic safety.

“The new location will offer a totally customer focused experience,” said Craig Sumerel, president of AAA Tire and Auto Service. “Nowhere else in the Miami Valley area can they take care of car maintenance, diagnostic and repair needs in the same place where they can plan a vacation. “Automotive maintenance helps to reduce the risk for traffic crashes and breakdowns on the road. It is important to our customers that we provide quality car care and help keep drivers safe.”

Customers can also speak to an insurance agent while waiting for oil changes, brake services, tire sales or other automotive services. The new AAA location is open to members and non-members. There is an added benefit to AAA members who can take advantage of special discounts on all products and services including attraction tickets, along with other perks.

AAA is hosting a grand opening celebration that is open to the public on Friday, Oct. 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free bumper-to-bumper preventative maintenance inspections will be offered to help drivers prepare for the upcoming winter. In addition, Child Passenger Seat Technicians will be on hand offering free child passenger seat safety inspections. The celebration will include food and fun activities.
