Overnight: Expect mostly clear skies and a warm night, Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell said. Temperatures will  hold in the lower 70s by morning.

Wednesday: Increasing clouds arrive, along with the threat for showers and storms by late afternoon. Some of the storms that develop could be strong to severe, with damaging winds and heavy rain being the biggest threats. Temperatures will reach the middle 80s before storms arrive.

Thursday: Lingering clouds and a slight chance or showers in counties south of Interstate 70, mainly earlier in the day. Temperatures will be a cooler with highs in the upper 70s.

Friday: More sunshine is expected with temperatures near seasonable averages in the lower 80s.

Saturday: Partly cloudy skies with a chance for some passing showers and storms in the afternoon. Highs will be in the middle 80s.

Sunday: A mix of sun and clouds with another chance for passing showers and storms. Highs again expected in the middle 80s.
