Mild today with cooler air arriving overnight

After two days of record-setting high temperatures, it will be cooler today, but still above normal.

The high for today will be near 70 degrees under partly sunny skies with a chance of afternoon sprinkles.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy with an overnight low around 47 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Normal highs for this time of year are in the upper 50s. and normal lows are in the upper 30s, the NWS said.

It will be partly sunny and cooler Thursday with a high near 61 degrees. Thursday night will be mostly clear with an overnight low closer to normal, around 38 degrees.

Friday will be sunny with a high near 64 degrees followed by a mostly clear night with a low around 39 degrees.

Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high near 64 degrees. Saturday night won’t be as cool, with an overnight low around 51 degrees. Showers are likely, mainly after 1 a.m.
