Springfield native legend — John Legend — will soon be saying Viva Las Vegas as he prepares for his next chapter.

Last week, Legend announced he is set to headline a Las Vegas residency at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino beginning April 2022. During the residency, Legend will perform 24 shows through Oct. 29.

Tickets to all the Las Vegas shows are available now at johnlegend.com. The lowest ticket prices start at $79. VIP tickets and “VIP Table Packages” start at $400.

Tuesday, Dec. 7, Chrissy Teigen, Legend’s wife, tweeted “get in the car, kids. we’re moving to Vegas (oh my god).”

Monday, Dec. 13, Legend tweeted “Join me in Las Vegas in 2022 for Love in Las Vegas the Residency - tickets on sale now at johnlegend.com.”

Rolling Stone reported that “news of “Love In Las Vegas” comes nearly a month after Legend shared his Raphael Saadiq-produced holiday single “You Deserve It All” and revealed he had signed with major label Republic Records. In a statement, Legend said he was “excited” to partner with the label: “Everyone at the label has been so wonderful to work with. I am thrilled to take this new artistic and creative journey with them and look forward to sharing new music with people soon.”
