Bodine not putting much stock in PFF love

Russell Bodine said is he aware  of the website ProFootballFocus.com but doesn't ever visit  it.

When told PFF had him rated extremely high last week, Bodine quipped, "Yeah, well, I think last year they had me rated extremely low from what I heard."

Bodine was PFF's highest-graded center last week with a +4.8 in the Bengals' 24-19 victory against San Diego, and the rest of the O-line also received high marks.

Andre Smith (+4.6) and Andrew Whitworth (+3.6) were the first and third highest graded tackles, respectively. And Clint Boling (+4.4) and Kevin Zeitler (3.4) were third and fifth, respectively, among guards.

"Not to take a shot at those guys, but I think it would be hard to grade an O-lineman without knowing exactly what the schemes are there," Bodine said. "Obviously you can grade some pad levels, some pressures, some quarterback hits, stuff like that. But I don’t pay much attention to it."

But using his own eye test, both on the field and in the film room, Bodine said his high marks were deserved.

"Yeah, I felt like I played pretty well," he said. "Obviously there’s still a couple plays I’d like to do better for sure. But overall I felt like I played pretty well last week."
