Remember that time the Browns and Bengals combined for 106 points?

Thanks to Bengals.com we are reminded of one of the craziest days in Cincinnati Bengals history.

On this day 13 years ago, they beat the Cleveland Browns 58-48.

As you can probably guess from the score, this was a wild game.

The Bengals, in year two of the Marvin Lewis era and coming off an encouraging 8-8 season, were battling for relevancy while the Browns still stunk under Butch Davis, who "resigned under pressure" two days later.

The stars of the day were Rudi Johnson, who ran for 202 yards and the game-winning touchdown, and Chad Johnson, who had 117 yards receiving.

Carson Palmer threw four touchdowns passes and three interceptions.

The Browns countered with Kelly Holcombe, who threw for 413 yards and five touchdowns passes. However, his second interception of the day was returned for the game-clinching touchdown by Deltha O'Neal late in the fourth quarter.

That came after Cleveland had erased a 14-point deficit and briefly led 48-44 with 10 minutes to go.

The over/under in this game was just 37.5, but O'Neal's pick-6 made people who picked the Bengals happy. They entered the game as six-point favorites.

Cincinnati ended up winning three of its last five to go 8-8 again, making back-to-back non-losing seasons for the first time since 1989-90.
