Dre Kirkpatrick had a mostly mediocre five seasons in Cincinnati, but it appears he is about to get paid, be it by the Cincinnati Bengals or someone else.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported over the weekend the Steelers and Titans (with former Bengals head coach and Pittsburgh defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau on staff) were both interested in him.

Wednesday Jason La Canfora dropped a note indicating Cincinnati doesn’t want to let him get away without a fight.

The Bengals took Kirkpatrick in the first round of the 2012 NFL draft out of Alabama.

He started 34 of a possible 80 games and logged nine interceptions.
