The 50-year-old Jackson spent the last two seasons as Bengals offensive coordinator. He coached running backs in 2013 and was a special teams and defensive backs assistant in 2012 when he returned for his second stint under Marvin Lewis.
Jackson was the wide receivers coach under Lewis from 2004-06 before leaving to become offensive coordinator in Atlanta in 2007. That job lasted only one season when Falcons head coach Bobby Petrino quit in the middle of the season, leading to an entire staff overhaul.
Jackson was the offensive coordinator in Baltimore in 2008-09 and was responsible for the drafting and development of Joe Flacco.
He was the offensive coordinator in Oakland in 2010 and became Raiders head coach the following season, but he was fired after one year despite an 8-8 record, leading to his return to Cincinnati.
