Maybe the coasts and flyover country can still get along after all...

The New Yorker published a fantastic long look at George Strait, who still rules at 65 even as country music endures its worst era in 30 years (or perhaps ever).

My favorite line:

"The quintessential George Strait song involves a man who feels something strongly but can express it only winkingly."

That is just perfect.
