While the debate rages on the floor of the U.S. Senate on this Saturday, crowds are gathering outside the Capitol to make their voices heard on the nomination of federal appeals court Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court, as tourists to the nation's capital are getting an extra dose of civics around Capitol Hill, with the Senate ready to deliver a major political victory to President Donald Trump.

Demonstrators also gathered on the lawn in between the Capitol and the Supreme Court, and across the street by the Supreme Court building as well.
