Ohio is the center of the political universe this year and our team at Cox Media Group Ohio is your source for all the news of the national conventions in Cleveland and Philadelphia. Using the combined resources of the Dayton Daily News, News Center 7, WHIO AM 1290/News 95.7, the Springfield News-Sun, the Journal-News and our Ohio Politics pages on Facebook and Twitter, we have the conventions covered.

We’ll be interviewing newsmakers, taking you inside the conventions and out on the streets with behind-the-scenes video, surprise guests, TV and radio special reports and Facebook Live events.

Here’s a look at some of the coverage we have planned:

ONLINE

On Facebook: Join more the more than 54,000 fans on our Ohio Politics Facebook page to get the latest information and join the discussion.

On Twitter: Elected leaders, activists and journalists from across the country follow our team at @Ohio_Politics on Twitter to get the inside scoop.

ON TV

News Center 7 has a team of reporters in Cleveland and Philadelphia to take you inside the conventions. Watch live reports throughout the day and James Brown will anchor News Center 7 live each night at 5, 5:30, 6 and 11.

Watch a half-hour special report from each convention on the biggest night of the week before Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton give their acceptance speeches. Our special reports will air at 7:30 p.m. on July 21st from Cleveland and July 28th from Philadelphia.

ON RADIO

WHIO AM 1290 and News 95.7 will have around-the-clock coverage during the conventions.

Larry Hansgen will be hosting Miami Valley’s Morning News from the Ohio delegation hotel, while Jeremy Ratliff provides reports from Cleveland.  Jamie Dupree will be there in Cleveland reporting as well.

There will be a special local call-in show airing from 6 to 7pm during both conventions Monday through Thursday, as well as a special show LIVE from Cleveland from 7pm to 8pm.

From 8pm through 11pm, there will be FOX News Radio coverage of the convention.  There will also be special content on both Facebook and Twitter and a special call-in show on the Saturday after the conventions from 5pm to 8pm, hosted by Chris Collins.

IN PRINT

The Dayton Daily News, Springfield News-Sun and the Journal-News will have expanded coverage in each day’s newspaper during the conventions. Also look for expanded coverage in the electronic version of the newspaper including the prime-time speeches and late evening events.
