The only thing I love more than The West Wing is Allison Janney on the West Wing.

I've been a fan for years and today she surprised the White House press corps by making an appearance in the briefing room.

Of course when Janney was playing C.J. Cregg, the press secretary on The West Wing, the briefing room was her turf.

Janney made the appearance today in character as Cregg. She even made jokes only West Wing fans would get. One of the jokes was that since it's Friday, she would be doing "The Jackal" in her office later today. That's one of the best scenes in West Wing history.

On a serious note, Janney made a statement about an effort she is working on to help people fighting opiate addiction. Today the White House honored several "Champions of Change" who are helping fight  the drug epidemic.

Janney grew up in Oakwood and graduated from The Miami Valley School.

And for those of you who are not up on The West Wing, here's the Jackal scene...
