Cecile Richards, the president of Planned Parenthood, started her speech with an anecdote about a cancer survivor who was able to get care through Planned Parenthood. She then pivoted to federal courts striking down a Texas abortion law, and went into Donald Trump and Mike Pence's record on abortion.
Richards mentioned the fight to get women the vote, and when her mother Ann was elected the first governor of Texas.
Actresses America Ferrara and Lena Dunham followed Richards, who joked about Trump's statements on women before delving into a short speech on women and voting for Hillary.
Dunham commented she has a "chronic reproductive illness," and spoke of being an assault survivor.
