Effort underway to allow Ohio lawmakers to serve 12 years in office

An effort is underway to allow Ohio state lawmakers to serve four more years in office. The issue that could be before voters next year would cap at 12 the years someone could serve in the General Assembly.

Currently state representatives can serve four two-year terms and state senators can serve two four-year terms.
