The new Detroit News/WDIV-TV poll shows Donald Trump way out in front in Michigan with 25 percent. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is in second with 15, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio is third with 12 percent and Kasich is fourth with 10.5 percent. Ben Carson has 9 percent and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is last with 5 percent.
The good news for Kasich, more than half of those polled said they could change their minds before Election Day. Twenty-one percent say they are undecided.

“We have to do really, really well in this state,” Kasich said Monday in Michigan, “or I have to roll up the carpets and go back.”
The Detroit News reports that Republican strategist Karl Rove said Kasich’s has to build on his second place win in New Hampshire in some of the March 1 states like Vermont and Massachusetts to help him in Michigan. Kasich will actually be in Massachusetts Saturday night when results are coming in from South Carolina.
"He needs to have some bigger wins on March 1 to do something on March 8," Rove said in an interview with The Detroit News.
