Ohio Gov. John Kasich is heading to late night TV.

Kasich will be a guest Tuesday, Sept. 22 on Late Night with Seth Meyers on NBC. Kasich is polling in single digits nationally, but is second or third in most resent New Hampshire polls.

Several other presidential candidates like Donald Trump and Jeb Bush have made the talk-show rounds lately. Bush was recently on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Trump was on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Vice President Joe Biden was also on the Late Show last week. That interview did not fit the standard comical tone and focused heavily on the death of Biden's son, Beau. Biden has not entered the presidential race ... yet.

The late-night talk show circuit has been standard procedure for politicians for decades starting as far back as 1960 when John Kennedy went on the Jack Paar Show.

George W. Bush went on The Late Show with David Letterman back in 2000 and even took part in a Top 10 list.

Of course one of the most memorable late-night talk show political visits was when then-Arkansas Gov. Bill Clinton played Heartbreak Hotel on his saxophone on the Arsenio Hall show back in 1992.
