OSU names street after John & Annie Glenn

A ribbon of road cutting through the heart of Ohio State University's main campus is being renamed to honor John and Annie Glenn, the university announced Thursday.

Seventeenth Avenue between Tuttle Park Place and College Road will be Annie & John Glenn Avenue.

The Glenns have strong ties to OSU. Earlier this year, the university established the John Glenn College of Public Affairs. The Glenn College is an expansion of the Glenn College and the Glenn Institute, which first formed in 1999 when the former astronaut and U.S. Senate donated his papers and memorabilia to Ohio State.

Annie Glenn is an adjunct professor in OSU's speech pathology department and she holds an honorary doctorate in public service.
