Now here was an interesting tweet Thursday from House Speaker John Boehner, R-West Chester Twp.: “It’s a boy.”

The speaker was referring to the birth Tuesday by his daughter Lindsay of his first grandchild, Alistair Lane. “Both baby and mother are doing well,” Boehner tweeted. Alistair is 8 pounds, 3 ounces.

“Congressman Boehner is thrilled," Boehner's press secretary Olivia Hnat said Thursday.
