Aerospace Institute to support NASA internship program

CLEVELAND — The Ohio Aerospace Institute said it has an agreement to provide business management support for a NASA program that offers internships or fellowships to students.

The $2.6 million, five-year agreement commits the aerospace institute to provide a NASA-wide recruitment, application, selection, placement and career development system for student applicants to the space agency.

Michael Heil, president and chief executive officer of the Cleveland-based aerospace institute, is a former director of the Air Force Research Laboratory’s propulsion directorate at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and was director of space studies at the Air Force Institute of Technology.
