Meijer is looking for candidates who have previous experience in a “fast-paced food and/or manufacturing environment,” the company said in an email. Positions include maintenance mechanics, level 1 operators and HTST processors.
The company also wants people who have experience in dairy or food manufacturing, have a high school diploma or a general equivalency diploma, and applicants need to be able to work weekends, holidays and overtime when required, Meijer said.
They should also be able to handle packages of up to 75 pounds continuously.

Meijer said its representatives will conduct phone interviews during the next few weeks. Selected candidates will then be contacted for in-person interviews.
Meijer, a Grand Rapids, Mich.-based retailer, operates 223 supercenters and grocery stores in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Wisconsin.
