Two Dayton brewpubs will be showing off newly released beers as well as collaborations with local businesses this weekend.

Fifth Street Brewpub (FSB) has partnered with Dorothy Lane Market (DLM) to offer a “Peppermint Killer Brownie” to accompany the brewpub’s holiday beer that will be released this Saturday, Nov. 21 with an all-day event at the pub at 1600 E. Fifth St.

The event at the cooperatively owned brewpub is open to the public. DLM recently built a new bakery in Washington Twp. dedicated to the production of Killer Brownies, which are available via mail order and at other grocery stores outside southwest Ohio.

The special holiday beer, FSB Thin Mint Stout, will be tapped at 2 p.m. Saturday, and a firkin of Double Mint Stout will be tapped at 4 p.m.

FSB General Manager Dave Tickel said the Peppermint Killer Brownie is topped with a specially created FSB Thin Mint Stout glaze. Fifth Street Brewpub has almost 3,000 member-owners, but is open to the public.

Another Dayton brewery, Warped Wing Brewing company, is releasing its “Whiskey Rebellion,” a bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout, and a collaboration with The Century Bar Bourbon House, starting at noon Saturday. The beer will be available in both cans (2-packs) and draught. Six other bourbon barrel-aged beers will be tapped throughout the day, Warped Wing’s owners said in a release.
