Protect is an online course for nurses that includes interactive nurse-patient simulations in urgent care, physician’s office and school health clinic scenarios. Officials said the course is intended to heighten situation awareness by leading the learner to recognize dangerous situations related to patient conditions, take appropriate safety measures and report incidents to proper authority.
The Protect course is approved for award of 1.33 hours of continuing education, officials said.
The Quick Triage Protocol app integrates the S.T.A.R.T. Triage Protocol for adults and the JumpSTART Triage Protocol for children into a single tool for first responders.
