The 3,000 square foot facility at 428 S. Edwin C. Moses Blvd., Dayton, will provide a training space, including a classroom and an indoor “demonstration house,” the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce said in a statement.
The company also has an office at 3508 Wilmington Pike.
“ERAtech has the only permanent U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Ohio Department of Health-approved lead RRP (lead renovation, repair and painting) training facility in the Dayton area,” the chamber said.
“We have all heard of nearby communities dealing with lead issues,” Douglas Kohnen, the firm’s owner and president, said in the chamber’s statement “ERAtech is very pleased to be able to help by offering U.S. EPA and ODH-approved environmental training classes to the Dayton region.”
A chamber open house event is set 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a ribbon cutting set for 12:30 p.m. Friday at the new facility. Visitors may register at DaytonChamber.org
