Leadership Dayton looking for its next round of leaders

Applications are due April 1 for the next “Leadership Dayton” class.

In a 10-month long program, participants in the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce program are “educated and motivated through monthly retreats, each focused on a different aspect of life in the Miami Valley,” the chamber said in an announcement. “Those admitted to the class make valuable connections and learn how to best serve their community.”

Since Leadership Dayton’s inception in 1976, more than 1,200 people have completed the program, the chamber said.

“The unique experience that Leadership Dayton provides helps shape and form the Dayton community,” Lance Detrick, president and chief executive, Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley, said in the chamber’s release. “And we encourage others to take advantage of the opportunity to engage with the region’s top leaders.”
