Two join radio station

Public radio station WYSO 91.3FM has announced that Karen Bledsoe and Jackie Winfree have joined the station's business team.

Bledsoe (formerly Meade) will serve as WYSO’s Underwriting Director. Prior to joining the station she served as Director of Sponsorship & Corporate Giving for Victoria Theatre Association, Director of Development for Planned Parenthood Miami Valley Region, Advertising Director for the Dayton Business Journal, and held several positions with Cox Media Company. Bledsoe also served on the WYSO Resource Board from 2011 to 2014.

Winfree has assumed the role of WYSO’s Membership and Traffic Coordinator. Winfree is a longtime WYSO volunteer and graduate of the station’s 2015 Community Voices training course. Prior to joining WYSO, she worked for the Association of Fundraising Professionals and Learning Tree Farm.

“We are so pleased to welcome two terrific new additions to our team. Both are highly qualified for their positions. Further, both have already demonstrated their loyalty and affection for WYSO. They have been volunteering their time and talents here for several years,” said WYSO development director Luke Dennis.

Foundation selects new members

The Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation - Dayton has announced the selection of four new board members: Zachary L. Allen; Diane Anderson, DO; JoAnne F. Reiling; and Ann M. Schuerman.

The Board of Directors maintains ultimate responsibility for ensuring that Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation fulfills its mission in the community while maintaining program effectiveness, quality and integrity. The Board provides future vision to help perpetuate the organization and ensure continued effectiveness in meeting the needs of Good Samaritan Hospital patients and those who care for them. Each Board member will serve a three year term with a maximum service duration of three consecutive terms.

Newberry named new program manager

Col. John P. Newberry will become the new KC-46 System Program Manager on Feb. 8, 2016. In this position, Newberry will be responsible for shepherding the new Pegasus tanker through the remainder of the test process and the initial production deliveries to field units.

Newberry previously served as Deputy Program Executive Officer for Air Force Mobility Programs here.

He is a 1994 graduate of the Air Force Academy and has served in a variety of acquisition fields including space test, flight test engineering of special operations aircraft, and program manager of several aircraft acquisition programs.

CareSource names new vice president

CareSource, a nonprofit, Ohio-based health plan, recently announced Steve Skerl as Vice President, Treasury. Skerl has senior level leadership experience working with public and privately held organizations.

The executive role of Vice President, Treasury was created as CareSource continues unprecedented growth with product line expansion into multiple states.

In his role, Skerl will oversee all of CareSource’s treasury functions, including tax, insurance and financial risk management, banking relationships, cash management and organizational investment strategies.

An accomplished executive, Skerl has held a variety of financial roles across several industries and led numerous growth initiatives to include acquisition and integration, investment and capital markets activities.
