More Vectren customers receiving bills by e-mail

DAYTON — About 15 percent, or nearly 150,000, of Vectren Energy Delivery of Ohio’s natural gas customers are receiving their monthly bills electronically, almost triple the number of consumers participating in the program 18 months ago, the company said.

Vectren is encouraging customers to receive their bills by e-mail, to eliminate the traditional paper bill sent by regular mail. Users of e-Bill can gain access to it from their mobile smartphones through www.Vectren.com.

The program provides a link for viewing the current and prior 24 billing statements online. Customers can pay their bills online, or by regular mail.

Vectren Energy Delivery, a regional distributor of natural gas, is owned by Vectren Corp. of Evansville, Ind.
