Pizza Factory applies for beer/wine license

The Pizza Factory at 1101 Wayne Ave. in Dayton has applied for a license to serve beer and wine but intends to use the license only for off-site catering events, owner Bill Daniels said this morning.

“We’re not planning on selling out the front door or having beer and wine on display,” Daniels said. The nearby South Park Tavern, which Daniels also owns, has a license that allows it to sell beer and wine to go, Daniels said.

The license, if approved by the Ohio Department of Commerce Division of Liquor Control, will allow Pizza Factory to deliver beer and wine along with its menu of pizzas, submarine and hoagie sandwiches, and salads. Daniels said he would utilize the license for deliveries of catering orders to business addresses.
