The bank’s customers “are telling us they want alternative methods” to do their banking, PNC Retail Market Manager Sarah Hudak said today at a press conference inside the branch. Customers view bank branches as less of a transaction center — since many transactions can be accomplished with a computer or smartphone — and more of a financial advice center, Hudak said.
But account holders don’t want the bricks-and-mortar offices to go away.
“Customers still value the branch, and they still value face-to-face interaction,” Hudak said.
