Brick home includes 1-car garage
Contributing Writer
Renovations made to this brick ranch opened the floor plan, enlarged bathrooms and took the laundry room out of the kitchen.
Listed for $139,900 by Royce and Associates Real Estate, the brick ranch at 5741 Belmar Drive in Huber Heights has about 1,080 square feet of living space, plus a one-car garage.
Finishing touches were being made to the renovations in 2019. The exterior brick has been painted, and a new garage door with electric opener has been installed. The back yard is semi-fenced, and there is a concrete patio.
Inside, wood laminate flooring fills the entire house except the bathrooms, which have ceramic-tile floors. New exterior doors were added to the front and back. Vinyl windows are throughout.
Formal entry opens into the living room, dining area and kitchen. A wall was removed to open the spaces, and a peninsula countertop divides the kitchen from the living room. Canister lights in both living room and kitchen allow for additional brightness to the rooms, and there is a hanging light fixture above the dining area.
Granite countertops provide plenty of work space, and glass mosaic tiles accent the wall space between the white cabinetry. A stainless hood vent hangs above the gas range, and other stainless-steel appliances include a dishwasher and refrigerator.
A door from the dining room opens to the rear patio, and another door opens to a laundry room. The laundry room was added to enlarge the kitchen cabinet space. The room is heated and provides access to the one-car garage. The garage has pull-down attic access.
A hallway from the living room leads to the three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. All the interior doors have been replaced, including doors to the bedrooms and closet doors. The wood laminate flooring in the social areas fill the bedrooms as well.
Two bedrooms at the front of the house share the guest bath off the hallway while the main bedroom is at the back of the house. The main bedroom’s bath has been enlarged to include a walk-in shower with pebble tile floor and subway-tile surround. The tall white vanity has a single sink with waterfall faucet. A water-saver toilet has also been installed.
The guest bath has the same single-sink vanity and faucet, but the redesigned floor plan allowed for a deep tub with shower. The shower has subway-tile surround with mosaic glass accents. All the bedrooms have ceiling paddle fans with light fixtures.
Updates have been made to the electric service, plumbing, including a water heater, and the heating and cooling systems.
