Several updates were made to this two-story house tucked within the Heathermere subdivision of Huber Heights.

Listed for $342,000 by Coldwell Banker Heritage Realtors, the brick-and-vinyl-sided two-story at 5309 Tall Oaks Court has about 3,650 square feet of living space. The house sits on a double lot on a cul-de-sac with mature trees along the back yard. There is extra parking near the three-car garage, and the back yard has a two-tier deck wired for a hot tub and a concrete patio. Keystones trim the window well for the egress windows of the finished basement.

Recent updates made in 2019 include vinyl siding, downspouts, dimensional roof shingles, Bali blinds and neutral carpeting in the main bedroom, upstairs hallway and staircase.

Formal entry opens into a two-story foyer with an arched window above the front door. The open staircase has spindled accents that match the oak wood flooring that fills the foyer and continues into the great room, kitchen, breakfast room and half bath.

To the right is the formal dining room, which has wainscoting and crown molding plus access to the kitchen. To the left is the formal living room with crown molding and French doors that open into the great room.

Open to each other, but separated by a peninsula counter, the great room and kitchen are filled with natural light through large windows that provide panoramic views of the wooded back yard. A wood-burning fireplace is the centerpiece to the great room with marble surround and a wood mantel.

The kitchen has granite countertops and white cabinetry that include pull-out shelves and 42-inch hanging cabinets some of which have glass-pane doors. The kitchen comes equipped with stainless-steel appliances, including a gas range, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator.

A deep single sink is within the peninsula counter, and there is an island that seats two plus provides additional storage. A sliding-door pantry closet is off the breakfast room, and a glass door between the breakfast room and great room opens to the rear deck.

Off the kitchen is a half bathroom, a laundry room and the entrance to the garage.

Upstairs are five bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The main bedroom is at the end of the hallway above the garage and has a cathedral ceiling with plant shelf, sitting area, a walk-in closet and double-door entry to the private bathroom.

The bath features a heart-shaped soaking tub below corner windows. The bath also has two single-sink vanities, a walk-in shower with ceramic-tile surround and a toilet room.

Two bedrooms have walk-in closet while the two others have sliding-door closets. The guest bath has a tub/shower and double-sink vanity.

The basement has been finished into a recreation room with two large egress windows that allow an abundance of natural light. There is a bonus room that was set up as an exercise room and a half bath. An unfinished room has the home’s mechanical systems and room for storage.
