Danny Boyle no longer directing 25th James Bond film

Danny Boyle has left the 25th James Bond film months after he was confirmed to direct.

The spy film franchise announced on Twitter Wednesday that Boyle exited the project.

“Michael G. Wilson, Barbara Broccoli and Daniel Craig today announced that due to creative differences Danny Boyle has decided to no longer direct Bond 25,” the tweet said.

Wilson and Broccoli are producing the film. Craig is starring as the British spy for the fifth time.

The Independent reported that the film was set to start shooting in December at Pinewood Studios in Iver Heath, England, 20 miles from London. The film has been set for an October 2019 release.

There is no word on if Boyle’s exit will impact the film’s release date.
