The extensive remodeling and renovation initiative that Bob Evans Restaurants launched in Dayton in 2010 is now sweeping into the Hamilton and greater Cincinnati area, the company announced Wednesday. Bob Evans officials also announced the chain will expand into Arkansas, its 19th state, this year.The renovation program has been named the "Farm-Fresh Refresh" restaurant revitalization, and it's designed to update facilities, modernize the Bob Evans brand, and appeal to a changing demographic, company officials said. The renovations give a new look to both the exterior and interior of each restaurant, including the addition of a mural in the entryway depicting Bob Evans' farm heritage.Company officials say the project has resulted in increased sales at the renovated restaurants."All our remodel markets are outperforming the chain's same-store sales performance by approximately 5 percentage points, " Steve Davis, chairman and CEO of Bob Evans Farms, Inc., said in a news release. Violations: Found 3 or more damp cloths stored on counters and beside clean plates. Cloth towels must be kept in the sanitizer bucket to prevent bacterial growth. Corrected. Found the sanitizer concentration not at the correct level and

No procedure on site for 4 hour time in lieu of temperature used on creamer and liquid margarine. Provide a procedure.

Found a knife where the plastic handles could no longer be cleaned. PIC discarded. Found a damaged cover for the roll rack that could no longer be cleaned. Replace the cover.

Found gaskets in need of being replaced on hot holding bin and proofer. Found lights out under passover table.

Found underside to mixer bowl soiled with food debris, found a knife stored with clean utensils soiled, found plates soiled under the grill line, found a cover for bread rack not being cleaned as required. Found gaskets to drawers under grill and hot holding box in need of being cleaned.

Found 4 oven gloves soiled and damaged beyond use. PIC discarded and will order new ones.

Found no paper towels at the hand sink by the dish washing area. PIC corrected.

Repair/replace the air curtain to the cooling area. Repair the lights out in the restrooms, replace the damage cabinet side in the waitress station that can no longer be properly cleaned. Repair batteries to hand towel dispensers. Resecure the sanitary holder to the wall in the womens room.

Found a personal phone stored on the grill line. PIC had employee place in suitable location.

Found top to grease dumpster soiled. Discussed with PIC options to improve cleanability.
