Miami Twp. restaurant to close during renovations

The Rusty Bucket Restaurant & Tavern in front of the Dayton Mall at 2812 Miamisburg-Centerville Road in Miami Twp. will close for at least two weeks for a major renovation of its bar, dining room and patio.

The timing of the closure has not been determined, according to Rusty Bucket spokeswoman Kate Sumption. The cost will be in excess of $100,000, according to Miami Twp. records, although Sumption said she had no information about the total cost of the project.

Workers will install a cover for the restaurant’s patio, and make other improvements, including a fireplace, that will make the patio a virtual all-season outdoor seating area, Sumption said. Inside, the bar will be moved back to create more space, and a large-screen projection TV will be installed. Booths, tables and chairs will be replaced in the bar and dining room, and workers will create a private dining room that will seat eight people, Sumption said.
