Montgomery County Health Inspections

The following are a sampling of food operation inspection reports from Public Health – Dayton & Montgomery County, from the week of Nov. 2-6. View full inspections reports at inspections.phdmc.org.

Chick Fil A

1482 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Dayton

Date of inspection: Nov. 5

Violations: Observed lemon squeezing machine and chicken slicer with build-up of food residue. Ensure each are disassembled, washed, rinsed, and sanitized after prep or every 4 hours, if they are used throughout hours of operation, in order to prevent contamination.

Observed multiple non-food contact surfaces with build-up of food residue. Ensure non-food contact are cleaned more frequently and maintained so that they are free of build-up.

Observed floors in multiple areas with build-up of food residue. Ensure floors are cleaned more frequently and maintained so that they are free of build-up.

- Floors under and behind Traulsen reach-in freezer (near door)

- Floors beside ice cream machine

Comments: Spoke with PIC concerning proper cold holding temperatures. Foods shall be held cold at or below 41F.

- Observed half & half and cream cheese holding cold, in small reach-in cooler (near drive-thru window), at 44.0F. PIC was informed to adjust thermometer of cooler and monitor temperatures multiple times per day.

Observed acceptable sanitizer levels (quaternary ammonia) in three compartment sink and in sanitizer buckets.

Observed handsinks supplied with soap, hot water, and paper towels.

Dragon China

4211 Hoover Ave., Dayton

Date of inspection: Nov. 3

Violations: Raw chicken in the walk in cooler is stored above ready to eat items like noodles and beef. All food service shall store raw food so other food items will not be contaminated.

Ready to eat food items in the walk in cooler are not properly date marked for 7 day discard. All food services shall properly date mark TCS food for seven day discard if not used within 24 hours.

Non food contact surfaces throughout the facility have cardboard or wrap around it. All food services shall have all surfaces in a condition that is easily cleanable to ensure proper cleaning is done.

Deli slicer has accumulation on it. All food service shall wash, rinse and sanitize all food contact surfaces to prevent contamination of food.

Non food contact surfaces like shelving and fan guards have accumulation on them. All food services shall clean and maintain non food contact surfaces to prevent potential food contamination.

Floor tiles are broken and missing throughout the facility. All food services shall maintain floors so they are easily cleanable and do not cause accumulation.

Pest harborage is occurring in the dry stock bulk area. All food services shall not have pest harborage in facility to prevent the spread of disease.

Comments: Food holding temperatures are satisfactory at the time of inspection.

Re-inspection will occur within or after 14 days.
