Local pint-sized rapper’s video goes viral

The video for the song a 6-year-old Dayton area girl and her brother wrote about San Francisco 49ers’ quarterback Colin Kaepernick has gone viral.

Andrew Redden said his football and basketball-loving sister has received invitations to appear on the “Today” show, “Good Morning America” and Michelle Beadle’s new show “The Crossover.”

Redden planned to return a call to the “Ellen Show” earlier this week.

“She (Sarah) doesn’t want to do any of the interviewing stuff right now,” Redden, an 18-year-old Miami University freshman, said by phone.

He said the pint-sized rapper is relatively shy.

The video posted about a month ago already has nearly a half million YouTube.com hits. The video can be seen at

Sarah wears Kaepernick inspired tattoos as she performs “Kaepernicking - Colin Kaepernick -San Francisco 49ers Theme Song.”

Redden said he and his kid sister have been Kaepernick fans since the QB played for the University of Nevada Wolf Pack.

The song, Redden said, was just for fun and inspired by a song about the Steelers that is now being sold on iTunes. Sarah has received thousands of tweets and messages.

“She liked making the song and the video, and I liked producing the video,” he said. “We didn’t think it would be this big.”
