The store presently has a roster of 11 instrument and voice teachers who also teach and perform around the region. Bucher teaches voice and piano, manages the store and works as an adjunct voice teacher at Stivers School for the Arts in Dayton.
Bella Musica is the only studio in the Dayton area that offers the Music for Young Children program (myc.com), a multisensory music class for groups of students. Students learn to play the piano, but they also cover rhythm, sight singing, music theory and composition in class each week. There are classes available for age groups from 3 to 12.
Private, individual lessons are available for almost any instrument, and students also participate in recitals. In addition to private lessons, the store also offers group classes in ukulele for kids and guitar for children or adults.
Bucher operated Bella Musica (Italian for “beautiful music”) out of her Miamisburg home for a year before opening the commercial space last month. The storefront has a showroom as well as four studios for lessons. The studios, equipped with pianos, music stands and chairs, are also available for rental as rehearsal space.
Bucher has not ventured into instrument sales and repairs, but she is able to offer referrals.
The storefront is located at 2240 E. Central Ave., Suite 4, in Miamisburg. Information: (937) 865-6539 or bellamusicadayton.com.
