Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is not only a fan of “Game of Thrones,” he also can claim a credit in the HBO television series.
Rodgers confirmed on Instagram that he made a cameo appearance in the penultimate episode of the series Sunday night.
“It was just for a few seconds, but I’ll always be thankful to have been on the penultimate episode of @gameofthrones,” Rodgers wrote.
In Sunday night’s episode, Rodgers was a foot soldier in the Golden Company army that fought for Cersei Lannister at King’s Landing, People reported. Rodgers can be seen lining up to do battle against Daenerys Targaryen’s army, the magazine reported.
Rodgers had hinted he might play a part in the series, ESPN reported.
"I have a bit of inside information about who is alive in one of the episodes, but I'll share that down the line," Rodgers told reporters April 23. Two days earlier, the quarterback posted a tweet that included the hashtag “Episode5shouldbegood.”
