Music fans with vinyl fever got their fix on Record Store Day Saturday.
The grassroots celebration of records started in 2007 and has grown to include 1,400 independent music stores across the country and some in other countries, according to recordsstoreday.com.
Record fans could get special savings, rare releases and new albums available only as part of the celebration. Foo Fighters, Metallica, Mumford & Sons and many other artists planned new songs or albums for release on Record Store Day.
Participants shared their finds using #recordstoreday.
