The top 10 things to do this week

1) DAYTON AIR SHOW

Since 1975, the Vectren Dayton Air Show has featured world-class aerobatic champions, military jets, antique planes and more. This popular annual gathering of airplane enthusiasts returns to Dayton International Airport, 3800 Wright Dr., Vandalia, on Saturday and Sunday, June 20 and 21.

Featured groups include the United States Air Force Thunderbirds, Breitling Jet Team and the U.S. Army Golden Knights. Music will be provided by the Air Force Band of Flight and featured vocalists Master Sergeant Alyson Jones and Staff Sergeant Kelly Perry.

Air Show hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day with feature shows from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. 2) INDIGO GIRLS

The Indigo Girls have more than two dozen concerts on its summer tour but area fans will experience something no other audience gets this season: a symphonic show. The folk-rock duo from Georgia joins the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra for An Evening with Indigo Girls at the Schuster Center, Second and Main streets, Dayton, at 8 p.m. Saturday, June 20. 3) SOLSTICE CELEBRATION

Embrace the day and enjoy the longest continual dose of sunshine of the year during In Celebration of Solstice. The fundraiser, which includes a buffet-style dinner, drinks and Solstice ceremony, is presented at SunWatch Indian Village and Archaeological Park, 2301 W. 4) “WEIRD AL” YANKOVIC

When "Weird Al" Yankovic released his album, "Mandatory Fun," last summer it was historic for several reasons. The album, the last one under his long-running record deal, was his first No. 1 album and the first comedy album to manage the feat since the early 1960s. "Mandatory Fun" also won a Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album, his fourth such win, and also spawned his fourth Top 40 hit, "Word Crimes." 5) DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY

The students at Viki Lynn's School of Dance on Spinning Road in Dayton range in age from 3 years old to late teens. The latest crop of dancers studying ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop and other styles with Lynn and fellow instructors Tammy Sagraves and Melinda Lackey, presents "Dance the Night Away" at Victoria Theatre, 138 N. 6) MIAMI VALLEY BREWGRASS FEST

The region is already home to popular bluegrass festivals such as the Southern Ohio Indoor Music Festival in Wilmington in March and November and Canoegrass in Tipp City in August. Add to that list, the Miami Valley Brewgrass Festival, which is shaping up to be quite an event. Mountain Heart, Joe Mullins & the Radio Ramblers, Paleface, the Clay Hess Band, Nightflyer and the Repeating Arms are among the acts performing at this first-time festival at Riverfront Park, 3 N. 7) VINE & CANVAS

An examination of the Dayton Art Institute's glass gallery and a discussion of pottery techniques will be featured in the latest installment of Vine & Canvas. Those numbers will continue to change as the season progresses, which makes this weekend's series with the fourth place Dragons and the fifth place Lake County Captains a crucial matchup. 10) JUNGLE JIM’S BEERFEST
