Mamma DiSalvo's Ristorante, 1375 E Stroop Road in Kettering, will celebrate National Meatball Day at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 9 with a meatball eating contest.

The first 10 people who sign up will compete for all-important bragging rights, a Mamma Disalvo’s gift basket and a $50 gift card.

The second place winner will receive a $20 gift Mamma DiSalvo’s gift card.
Dayton.com and Dayton Daily News writer Amelia Robinson is among those who will serve as judges.
Contestants must be age 18 or older and sign a waiver. There is a $10 entry fee.
