Giant scale aircraft show this weekend

Scale versions of some of history’s well-known airframes will take to the skies over the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force during Labor Day weekend.

The 16th annual Giant Scale Radio-Controlled Model Aircraft Air show will take place Sept. 2-4 with more than 100 pilots will entertain audiences as they perform aerobatic maneuvers with RC jets, war birds and helicopters from all eras of aviation history.

Sponsored by the Dayton Ohio Giant Scalers, the air show will take place each day from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., including a half-time show from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day.

The event is open to the public and admission and parking are free. Food and merchandise will be available for purchase.
