Jay's, Carvers to offer holiday lunch service

Carvers Steaks & Chops at 1535 Miamisburg-Centerville Road (Ohio 725) in Washington Twp. and Jay's Restaurant at 225 E. Sixth St. in the Oregon District in Dayton — two restaurants that are dinner-only establishments for 11 months of the year — will open for lunch during December to accommodate holiday get-togethers, office parties and other seasonal gatherings.

Carvers will launch its holiday lunches on Thursday, Dec. 1. Jay’s will start Monday, Dec. 5. The offer will end on Friday, Dec. 23, at both restaurants. The hours will be 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for both.

Carvers will offer a special holiday lunch menu, but its full dinner menu also will be available to diners. Private rooms are available.

Jay's will serve a special lunch menu that includes Jambalaya, Bourbon Salmon, Grilled Scallops, Fried Shrimp, Greek Swordfish, along with sandwiches such as Roasted Portobello and Kobe, Tuna and Salmon Sliders. A party room is available.
