Cirque du Soleil is a Canadian entertainment company, as well as the largest theatrical producer in the world. It travels with its world-class acrobats, musicians, singers and actors from every corner of the globe. Fans of the company know that one production is nothing like the next. Each show has its own central theme, storyline and is a “synthesis” of circus styles from different cultures.

“Corteo, which means cortege in Italian, is a joyous procession, a festive parade imagined by a clown,” according to a Cirque du Soleil press release.

“The show brings together the passion of the actor with the grace and power of the acrobat to plunge the audience into a theatrical world of fun, comedy and spontaneity situated in a mysterious space between heaven and earth.”
