1) ROSE ALL DAYTON
Dayton History has added a new wine-tasting event to its slate of programming. Rosé All DAYton is presented on the lawn of Patterson Homestead, 1815 Brown St., Dayton, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3. Despite the name, there is much more on the menu besides rosé wines.

The picnic-style festival also offers beers and ciders and food trucks such as Greek Street, Harvest Mobile Cuisine and Sweet P’s Handcrafted Ice Pops. Local acts BJSR and Reyna & Dana will perform before an acoustic set from platinum-selling artist Max.

2) ART IN THE CITY
“Paint. Perform. Party” is the theme of Art in the City, returning to various spots in downtown Dayton at 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2. The immersive arts experience features hundreds of visual artists and performers painting, sculpting, singing and dancing at K12 Gallery and TEJAS, Courthouse Square, the Schuster Center’s Wintergarden, PNC Arts Annex, Levitt Pavilion and other locations. 3) LADY ANTEBELLUM
Country act Lady Antebellum has scored more than a dozen top 10 singles and sold more than 18 million albums since forming in 2006. Despite the success, the group recently left Capitol Nashville for BMLG Records. The first single in the new agreement, “What If I Never Get Over You,” was released in May and peaked at number two on Billboard’s country music charts in June. Lady Antebellum returns to the area for a concert at Rose Music Center, 6800 Executive Blvd., Huber Heights, at 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8. 4) POLISH SUMMER FEST
Grilled polish sausage, pierogi and cabbage rolls are among the menu items that draw folks out each summer for Polish Summer Fest. In addition to food, the annual event features beverages, desserts and dancing to live music. Polish Summer Fest returns to the Polish Picnic Grounds, 3690 Needmore Road, Dayton, on Sunday, Aug. 4. 5) BAD COMPANY
Bad Company was one of the biggest hard rock acts on the planet during its initial run from 1973 to 1982. That success has allowed the British band to continue working off and on with various lineups ever since. After decades away, founding members Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke took back control of the group in 2008. Bad Company, currently on tour with special guest Foghat, performs at Fraze Pavilion, 695 Lincoln Park Blvd., Kettering, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3. 6) CANOEGRASS
Last year, Canoegrass changed locations but the festival didn’t alter its focus on presenting a great live bluegrass festival that also offers fun on the water. The seventh annual event is presented for a second year at Masters Outdoor Retreat, 5486 State Route 47, Houston, on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 2 and 3. This year’s lineup on the lakeside stage includes the Repeating Arms, Buffalo Wabs & the Price Hill Hustle, Controversy for Breakfast, Peaceful Sorrow and Highly Unlikely. Cost: $100 at the date. 7) SOMMORE
Sommore is a comedian with her own distinct worldview, which is apparent from her stand-up specials such as “Chandelier Status” and “The Reign Continues.” The New Jersey native has also used her quick wit as host for programs such as “Comic View,” “Def Comedy Jam” and “Showtime at the Apollo.” Sommore returns to the Funny Bone Comedy Club, 88 Plum St., The Greene, Beavercreek, Friday through Sunday, Aug. 2 through 4. 8) LEBANON BLUES FEST
Lebanon Blues Festival is doubling down on the entertainment this year. The annual event, in Historic Downtown Lebanon, 47 E. Mulberry St., Lebanon, on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 2 and 3, has expanded to offer live music on Friday for the first time. The super-sized festival also features food vendors, a beer garden, car show and the Red Hot Blues Run. This year’s bill includes Bernard Allison, Michael Locke & the Repeat Offenders, Ray Fuller & the Blues Rockers and the Cheryl & Shorty Show. 9) DJ DANGLER
DJ Dangler grew up in Indiana and graduated from college before he ventured into comedy. He was living in New York when he first got on stage and found his calling. Today, the Los Angeles-based comic travels the country performing in clubs, at comic book conventions and other special events. 10) JAZZ & BEYOND SERIES
Jazz & Beyond launched a new season of entertainment at Dayton Art Institute, 456 Belmonte Park North, Dayton in March with a performance by the Classic Jazz Stompers. The six-concert series enters the home stretch with Laney & the Tramps featuring the Queen City Sisters from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8.
