The Clark County marching band was nowhere near the crash during the Krewe of Endymion parade -- one of the largest events of the city’s annual Mardi Gras celebration.
“We are almost at the end of the parade route,” the band posted to its Twitter and Facebook social media accounts. Also, the Northeastern Local School District Superintendent John Kronour confirmed tonight that he had not heard of any local injuries.
Video attached shows the band making preparations on Thursday for this parade. There are 108 students in the band participating. They raised money for the trip by selling cookie dough, pizza and raffle tickets.
