What to do about dog doo?

Re "Riverside to reconsider dog waste law," April 1: What will be next? Will I be arrested for trespassing for stepping on someone's property to pick up my dog's feces? Why do we have to have a law to force people to be respectful of others and their property?

If you can't control your animal or what it does, you should be fined.

Isn't it a shame we have to ask our governments to enforce common courtesy? And, then we complain about the size of our tax burden.
