An offer above the $79,900 asking price was accepted for 507 McLain St. just four days after the property in St. Anne Historic District went on the market. The three-bedroom, old style house constructed in 1899 was offered as-is and with no inspections. Joanne Cronin of Irongate Realtors said more than 30 groups took a look and there were several offered. The enthusiasm over the house did not surprise her. “There is just really a rush for people to come and live back downtown,” Cronin said.
