Woman injured in shooting near BP gas station in Dayton

A woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a shooting near a Dayton gas station Friday night.

Crews responded to reports of a shooting near a BP gas station at Salem and Wentworth Avenues around 8 p.m. according to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch.

“Upon arrival officers located the victim, a 30-year-old female,” said Dayton police Lt. Steven Bauer. “The victim had a non-life-threatening injury.”

The woman was shot and transported to a local hospital, dispatch said.
