The Centerville-Washington Township community is invited to participate in a community send-off on Saturday, March 20 to show their support of the Centerville High School boys basketball team as they head to the state Final Four for the first time in school history.

CHS students/families may cheer on the team from the CHS campus. All others may line-up somewhere along the bus route to show their support. Spectators should follow all state mandates and health department protocols by staying socially distanced, within their family-group, and off the streets and private property.

The team bus will depart from the CHS Athletic Entrance with a police escort at 3 p.m. The bus will travel through the CHS parking lot towards the baseball field, around the school driveway, left on Franklin Street, then right on 48. The send-off will end no farther than the Bob Evans on Ohio 48.

The Elks are scheduled to meet undefeated and No. 1 Mentor on Saturday at 5 p.m. at University of Dayton Arena. No. 8 Cleveland St. Ignatius faces No. 7 Westerville Central in the other semifinal. The state championship game is scheduled for Sunday, March 21, at 8:30 p.m. at UD Arena.
